Apparently my stress and low spirits have become visible . I just got a concerned e-mail from a professor asking to come in and chat during office hours. Welp, corvettes will keep me going in the job search I guess.
Had an interview today too, but I guess the stress of it all is taking its toll.

FWIW, I could not tell your were overtly stressed out while we were racing the other night.
Something will come along. It always does.
Have you considered Teaching English overseas? It might not be your degree field, but there is a demand for people and you'd get paid to live abroad for a year or two.

Thanks. I'm ok, just super stressed. Have a wedding in a year, and coming up on graduation without a job is a worry.
Problem is, I've applied to countless places with a pretty decent resume built up and 2 different internships running over 2.5 years of my college career. My graduating class for the group of majors I'm in has so far yielded only 1 person with a relevant job. Our major is also supposed to be the "fastest growing industry and job market" as proclaimed over the past few years in a row.
I think I'll land something, just stressful getting there with the endless applications that don't even result in a single word response.

Thanks hah. That's what racing and games are for, blowing off steam I suppose.
I haven't considered that, but assuming I can't find anything it isn't a bad idea really.

Me too, stress is a bitch. Just try to take things one at a time.

My stress music:
Lay on the ground, close your eyes, listen, relax.

LOL. Seeing as it is an overweight middle aged man (though he is super nice so not meant in offense to him)... I'm hoping not.

As a person who takes stress to heart as well, I understand. But every day is a chance to take steps to a better life.
I know it doesn't help. It doesn't always help me either. But it can be done.

Yeah, I guess the stress didn't bother me until I realized it became visible lol.
I mean of course stress was bothersome, just didn't realize it had kind of gotten to that level.

I have several friends who did that and had very positive experiences.
Obviously, you have to choose your location carefully. Like, I doubt Syria is a good idea right now.
There is also Business English, which would be adults mostly, as opposed to the general English which would probably be kids in school.
My point is there are always options, and something like TESL, or even the Peace Corps will get you a paycheck, albeit small, and tremendous experience to add to a resume.

I completely know what you mean. I had no idea mine was visible until one of my friends started referring to me as "dead eyes"

You'll get through it. Talk to your professor openly. It's a good opportunity to chat, don't look at it as a bad thing.
In my senior year of college things got insanely stressful, what helped me was calling my parents while walking from class. I reached the point you are at, one day I was chatting with my mom and I guess I was all over the place, she started asking me if I'd been feeling scatterbrained, chatting about the stress helped.
I survived, so have no fear: it gets better

Thanks man, I do plan to go chat with him. I'm sure he will have good insight, and he deserves to know why I appeared that way to him.
He's a great professor for reaching out, not many do that. He definitely has my respect.

Lol. Yeah, I'm really trying to push through it all.

One of my biggest pieces of advice to college students is to talk to your professors. Sounds simple, but no one does it.
They are people, and usually really interesting ones too. When it comes time to find a job, your professors know people with jobs you want. I got an internship just by mentioning I wanted one to a professor I had gotten to know, and he knew a former student looking to hire.

Cehck out the JET program in Japan... I've met a bunch of "gaijins" (foreigners in Japanese) who were doing it there. The pay is great and hours minimal. You would not regret it and I just can't recomment it enough :)

As someone who's planning on doing just this, you should do it. I have a friend living in South Korea with a degree in art teaching English and he loves it!
